June 1, 2023 Kidsave hosted an all-day celebration for International Children’s Day in Ukraine! Three separate events in Mykolaiv, Prybuzke village, and Zelenyi Hai village brought food, fun, and joy to over 270 children! This was a huge effort and would not have been possible without the help from the Angels of Hope team, our partner Sunrise of Dreams in Mykolaiv, the young adults and mentors from our Pathway to Success program, and our dedicated sponsors at Boeing and KFC.
May 1-23, 2023 Attacks and air raids have been nearly constant over the last several weeks. Despite the ongoing danger, our team continues to deliver humanitarian aid and supplies across Ukraine. Recently, our team delivered clothes, seeds for community gardens, and other much-needed supplies in the Mykolaiv region and in Odesa, a region that has a high population of internally displaced persons from the Kherson and Donetsk regions.
March 28-April 11, 2023 Kidsave’s Angels of Hope continue to provide medical and food assistance to those in need in Ukraine. Over the last two weeks, our team has sourced and delivered over 22 tons of seeding potatoes as well as food kits to feed over 5,000 families in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
January 18-24, 2023 Construction is underway on the Kidsave Miracles Center in western Ukraine, and we have opened a family support center in Mykolaiv. At this support center, mothers experiencing trauma due to the war can receive emotional support while their children are cared for and entertained with art supplies. The families are also given food assistance and supplies to help sustain them during this difficult time.
January 10-17, 2022 Over the last week, our team has been delivering wood-burning stoves, firewood, food, bottled water, and humanitarian aid in Odesa and Mykolaiv. Since the start of the war, Kidsave’s Angels of Hope have delivered nearly 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid across Ukraine.
January 3-10, 2023 Over the last week, our Angels of Hope have delivered nearly 20 tons of food, over a ton of personal hygiene supplies, 856 packages of baby food, and 21 generators to orphanages and families. These deliveries will feed thousands and provide warmth and comfort.
December 15-25, 2022 Kidsave’s Angels of Hope delivered food and supplies for holiday dinners to over 400 families, providing enough food to feed 1,200 people for Christmas.
December 5-12, 2022 Kidsave volunteers Christopher and Irena delivered a generator to a dialysis and medical treatment center in Mykolaiv. It is the only place providing dialysis treatment in Mykolaiv, Kherson, and many surrounding villages. Without power, the center cannot function, but now that they have this generator, they will be able to give people the life-saving treatment they need.
November 30-December 6, 2022 Kidsave’s Angels of Hope, with help from our partners Sunrise of Dreams, delivered food kits and humanitarian aid to Odesa. Not long after our team made these deliveries, Odesa was attacked by a massive airstrike. The food kits and aid provided by our team will sustain the people as they must continue to live in basements and bomb shelters for their safety.
November 21-29, 2022 Evacuations have slowed because of an increase in Russian hostilities, but Kidsave’s Angels of Hope continue to evacuate children and families as much as possible. This week, the team evacuated 120 people from the Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions.
October 24-31, 2022 In partnership with World Food Programme, Samaritans Purse, We Are Ukraine, and Kidsave OurBorsch, our Angels of Hope continue to deliver life-saving humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine. Since the war began, we have delivered over 724 tons of humanitarian aid to those in need.
October 10-18: Massive airstrikes continue to target Kyiv, a city that is home to more than 2 million people and had been considered safe just weeks ago. Our volunteers delivered food kits containing enough food to feed a person for four weeks as well as water, sanitizers, and medical supplies to those sheltering in place.
September 26 – October 3, 2022: Hostilities have increased in the Zaporizhzhia region as Russian troops try to overtake the nuclear power plant there. Our team is trying to evacuate as many people as possible from this region. Over the last week, we have evacuated over 600 people, bringing our total number of rescues to over 28,000 people.
September 1-11, 2022: Thanks to support from the organization Samaritan’s Purse, we are able to deliver medicines, medical supplies, groceries, diapers, and formula to families and individuals in need. So far, we have delivered 642 tons of humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
From August 13 to August 15, Kidsave successfully rescued 225 people from the Zaporizhzhia region, bringing our total rescues up to 24,148 people.
Aug 10: Although international adoption has been suspended at this time, our team continues to work to find safe and loving homes for orphans with families in Ukraine. This week, we were able to place a sibling set of three with a loving family in Slavyansk.
July 14, 2022: Two missiles hit Vinnytsia today about 500 meters from our safe base.
July 2, 2022: Eleven participants from Kidsave’s Corporate Mentoring program meet with Kidsave leaders Pavlo and Olena in Kyiv
June 20 – 24 : As the sweltering summer season begins, Kidsave’s Angels of Hope continue their daring rescue missions. As of June 23rd, 20,973 kids, families, and elderly have been evacuated.
May 30 – June 3: Kidsave’s Angels of Hope rescued 374 orphans, families, and elderly and delivered 34 tons of humanitarian aid this week.
May 18: Angels of Hope rescue and evacuate children and families as Russian airstrikes continue daily.
May 17: American Kidsave volunteer provides combat medic first aid training for Angels of Hope rescue team.
May 14: Angels of Hope deliver food to those sheltering in place in Mykolaiv.
