My First Kidsave Event

This holiday season, we proved that Christmas Miracles can still happen even in the midst of war. On Saint Nicholas Day, Kidsave’s Mentoring Association hosted a Christmas party for the teens and their mentors in the program at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kyiv.
Over the weekend, we had a fantastic time with the California Winter Miracles kids and families. We gathered in the gorgeous Yorba Regional Park in Orange County.
“Now we’re excited to live our lives together as an official family,” says Aaron. It’s only been a few months, but Greg and Aaron are already learning a lot about parenthood.
In our last conversation with Grant, Jesus was in his second year of college with dreams of someday competing in the Olympics. We caught up with Grant to get an update and hear about his college journey.
“My biggest dream is for this war to end. I dream of a peaceful sky, for children and innocent people not to suffer, and for the brave men who protect us and grant us peace and comfort are safe and do not die.”
Working with Kidsave from the beginning Jon Kolasinski with his company Markit has sourced and provided clothing, shoes, food to many and shelter for the Kidsave Angels of Hope. Now as winter descends on Ukraine, they work to provide generators that bring heat and light to many Ukrainians without power.
Kidsave gave me a second chance at life, and I want to do something meaningful to give back for the opportunity that was given to me. I started It’s a Wrap! with the goal in mind of making it an official non-profit, that can make a difference in the lives of children like me.”
