Kidsave Welcomes Peter Miller to its Board of Trustees
Los Angeles, CA — Kidsave, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to positive change in child welfare on behalf of older youth in foster care, is pleased to announce that Peter Miller has joined its Board of Trustees. Miller joins the organization with over 30 years of finance and accounting experience. Since 2011, he has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Binswanger where he is responsible for all financial functions, with a focus on managing risk and monitoring cash flow.
Kidsave’s rescue and humanitarian work in Ukraine piqued Miller’s interest, but as he learned more about Kidsave’s overall mission to connect older kids in foster care with stable, loving adults, he knew he wanted to become more involved. Miller began taking a more active role as a planning committee member for the 2022 Miracles Gala, Kidsave’s largest fundraising event of the year.
“I’m excited to extend my commitment to this wonderful organization,” said Miller. “Each child’s story of how family changes their lives really hit home. I’m grateful to be a part of this mission to help more kids find families and continue to support Kidsave’s crucial humanitarian work in Ukraine.”
CEO and Co-Founder Randi Thompson said, “Peter joins Kidsave at a critical point in our history. As the Ukraine war rages on, we face daily challenges to bring in the resources needed for rescue and humanitarian aid while continuing to grow and expand our core work to create families for children growing up in government care. Peter continues to show his dedication to this work. I look forward to adding his enthusiasm and financial acumen to our leadership as Peter joins our finance and investment committees.”
Prior to Binswanger, Miller was the Chief Financial Officer of Nexus Technologies Group. Miller is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis (CSCA), and a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
