On July 18th after a day of lobbying on Capitol Hill to preserve funding for programming for vulnerable children and kids outside of family care, the DC Metro Summer Miracles kids met the new Colombian Ambassador to the the United States, the Honorable Camilo Reyes Rodriguez!
The kids snuggled around Ambassador Reyes as if they had known him all their lives. And, when he and his wife, Gloria de Reyes, joined the kids at our Saturday event, they were old friends. Bienvenido!
