Kidsave is pleased to announce the appointment of Corrie Burks to its Board of Trustees. Burks, a seasoned banking professional and a fervent advocate for youth and family causes, brings a wealth of experience, strategic insight, and passion to Kidsave’s mission of finding families for older children in the system.
Burks is the Senior Relationship Manager, Vice President at Manufacturers Bank in Los Angeles. With a career that spans over two decades in various banking roles, her expertise in financial stewardship and community engagement will be a significant asset to Kidsave’s board. A native of Southern California, Burks earned her MBA with a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management and a BA in English from California State University, Northridge.
Her commitment to serving the community is evident through her extensive volunteer work and board service with organizations such as Healthy African American Families, the National Black MBA Association, Lakewood Soroptimist, and Casa Youth Shelter. Burks’ previous role as Vice President of the Board of Directors at Casa showcases her leadership and dedication to improving the lives of at-risk youth.
