Help Foster Kids During the COVID-19 Crisis

Imagine being a kid and not having a parent or adult mentor to look after you during this unprecedented time of social isolation, fear and distress. Foster children are facing extreme challenges with intensified feelings of loneliness, vulnerability, and anxiety.

Foster kids need genuine connections, support, and a reason to smile. They also need activities to keep them occupied and resources to help them continue to learn.

The good news is, working together we can help make a difference to support them through this pandemic.

• Our first virtual event was held on April 4^th. Every week, we will continue to hold virtual events so that connections continue to grow between kids and families.
• We are sending care packages to kids in our program with essentials and support items like activities, snacks and messages of love and support.
• We contact the kids weekly to let them know we are thinking of them.
• Our hosts are given virtual activity ideas to help them continue to connect 1-1 with their kids.
• We are providing our hosts with fun, virtual activity ideas to stay connected with their host child.
• We are providing funding to families in Sierra Leone for supplies to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We need your financial support to help kids during this time. Times have changed, but our mission to find families for kids in foster care and orphanages continues and we need your help more than ever.
