Things got creative at the January Weekend Miracles events in Los Angeles! The event was held at Color Me Mine, a pottery painting studio in Pasadena, where potential host parents got to spend quality time with some of the kids from the program.
At the Color Me Mine event, the kids and families spent a fun-filled afternoon painting their pottery and getting to know each other. It was an excellent opportunity for the kids to showcase their creative skills and for the families to learn more about their personalities and interests.
After the pottery painting activity, everyone headed to Brooklyn Square, a pizzeria in the neighborhood, for some delicious pizza. The socializing continued over slices of pizza as kids and adults shared their experiences and bonded over common interests.
Overall, the event was a huge success, with everyone having a great time and building new connections. The Weekend Miracles Program is an excellent way for older children in foster care to connect with potential host and adoptive families and build meaningful relationships naturally over time. By participating in events like the one at Color Me Mine, the kids can enjoy an activity while showcasing their talents and interests and learning more about the people who might become their forever family.
